Spread the wordThe Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a three-day weather outlook warning of widespread dust haze and reduced visibility across the northern parts of the country, with prospects of isolated thunderstorms in several southern states.
NiMet projected moderate dust haze across the Northern region throughout the three-day period, with horizontal visibility ranging between 2 and 5 kilometres.
For the North Central states, moderate dust haze with visibility of 2 to 5 kilometres is expected on January 29 and 30, while slight dust haze is anticipated on January 31.
However, there are slim to slight chances of isolated thunderstorms with light rainfall, particularly in the afternoon and evening hours.
NiMet advised the public to take precautions due to suspended dust particles, warning that people with asthma and other respiratory conditions should be particularly cautious.
