The Tuscaloosa City Council indefinitely tabled a $5.57 million grant in tax incentives for the Delaney Property Group of Mobile on Tuesday.
The grant would have allowed for a commercial development on 5.61 acres in Springbrook, a neighborhood in Tuscaloosa.
“I want to be clear that the city has a role in promoting development in Tuscaloosa when the project provides for the greater good of citizens,” said Joan Barth, a Springbrook resident.
“I’ve been to these meetings for over 30 years,” said Sandy Wilson, a Springbrook resident since 1992.
