The Liberty County mother accused in a September 2025 attempted drowning incident involving her three children has now been indicted on multiple felony charges. According to the indictment, Quintana is charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury to a family member with a deadly weapon. Deputies with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched after receiving reports that children were in distress in a nearby pond. Quintana was taken into custody Oct. 24 after being discharged from a Houston hospital and booked into the Liberty County Jail. He does face a separate animal cruelty charge, which is a misdemeanor being handled through Liberty County Court at Law.
