18 Texas women’s tennis has started off with experimentation, where athletes have been moved around and rosters haven’t been finalized.
Rotating players is a key part of doubles, as it allows for chemistry to build between teammates through various combinations during matches for the spring season.
By experimenting with different doubles pairings, the Longhorns hope to discover the various combinations of players that will be able to perform under pressure come later in the year.
This spring will be the first time the Longhorns are going to be introduced to the dual-match format, where the team plays three doubles matches followed by six singles matches.
