There are 81 Aboriginal students enrolled at the school. The school is 100 per cent Aboriginal, and 62 per cent of students are in the bottom quarter of socio-educational advantage. In semester 1, 2025, the attendance rate was 77 per cent for Aboriginal students (87 per cent for non-Aboriginal students). The 90 per cent attendance level was 27 per cent for Aboriginal students and 57 per cent for non-Aboriginal students. The Freedom School has marginally better attendance among Aboriginal children, but it’s still very poor.
