Quantuma has previously been appointed as administrators by another bank, Paragon Banking Group, of two other Stephens & Stephens developments, in Newquay and Newlyn. ‌Paragon bank provided Truro-based Stephens & Stephens with a £16.6 million funding package in 2021 for the One Pentire project. It is now the fourth company in the Stephens & Stephens portfolio to have gone into administration or liquidation in less than 12 months. Stephens & Stephens Group Ltd is the Stephens' holding company. ‌It is not the first time a Stephens & Stephens business has gone into liquidation over money owed to contractors or creditors.
