A sports and culture organisation, Street Academy, has received medical supplies worth $1,000 to stock the academy’s clinic located on its premises. The donation, made by the Tabernacle Church, USA, formed part of the church’s outreach efforts to support vulnerable and underprivileged communities across the globe. She explained that as a former national service personnel at Street Academy, she was familiar with the challenges facing the institution and therefore initiated the support by linking the academy to the Heywan family of the Tabernacle Church through a personal connection. The Heywan family, who were in Ghana on a visit, took the opportunity to donate to the academy. Miss Felicia Owusu, a Nursing Officer at Street Academy, said the donation included various antibiotics such as Azithromycin and Amoxiclav, analgesics including Brufen, blood supplements, anti-malaria drugs, sanitary pads for the girls, and other essential medications.
