Former world boxing champion, Nana Yaw Konadu, has been appointed President of PKO Boxing and the PKO Foundation, marking a major leadership transition within the organisation. PKO Boxing said Mr Konadu underwent a thorough assessment process and was unanimously approved by the Board of Directors and key stakeholders. Konadu captured the WBC super-flyweight world title in 1989 before going on to win the WBA bantamweight title twice in the mid-1990s. In announcing the appointment, PKO Boxing highlighted Konadu’s personal values as central to its decision. “Nana Yaw Konadu represents humility, hard work, transparency and trustworthiness,” the organisation said.
