Tesoro’s boys basketball team made sure that history did not repeat itself as it dominated San Juan Hills 74-39 on Wednesday at Tesoro High. San Juan Hills (14-12, 4-3) was playing without its top scorer, Garrett Brehmer, who had a career-high 31 points the first time the Stallions played Tesoro. Without Brehmer, San Juan Hills had to work very hard to get open looks at the basket. Tesoro outrebounded San Juan Hills 35-27 and had 36 points in the paint compared to eight for the Stallions. Rocco Jensen led San Juan Hills with 12 points and six rebounds.
