Full list of 44 Santander branches closing across the UKThe High street banking giant made the announcement on Thursday morningView Image 44 Santander branches are set to close (Image: PA)Santander today announced its intentions to shut 44 branches across the UK, placing 291 jobs at risk as a result. ‌It said 96% of all transactions are now being completed in digital channels after a rapid increase in online banking customers. ‌The Ormskirk branch will also close by the end of January next year but a banking hub will remain open. Last August saw the Santander branch in Formby close down alongside 12 other branches that month. Branch closure dates are dependent on Cash Access UK confirming premises for the Banking Hub.
