A 36-year-old woman suspected of recklessly driving through a park in an unincorporated area bordering Whittier was arrested Wednesday. Sheriff’s officials said Alatorre drove the vehicle erratically with a male passenger inside without regard for public safety, prompting the response of Sheriff’s Parks Bureau deputies. The suspect vehicle was captured on cellphone video that was later posted on social media, assisting deputies with their investigation into the reckless driving that evening. “Deputies spent countless hours of investigation to identify the suspect whose reckless driving endangered all patrons at the park in November 2025,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement.
