About 60 girls are going to participate in a Female Hockey Day event in Red Deer on Saturday, Jan. 31. Female Hockey Day as a Hockey Alberta initiative aimed at bringing female players, parents, coaches and supporters together for the development, growth and celebration of the game. The main Female Hockey Day event is happening in Edmonton, but there are several satellite events happening across the province, including in Red Deer and Lacombe.
