According to preliminary information, the explosion occurred inside one of the hotel rooms occupied by tourists.
The butane gas camping cylinder being used in the room reportedly developed a leak, causing gas to accumulate in the confined space.
The accumulated gas later ignited, resulting in a powerful blast that shattered windowpanes and damaged the room’s ceiling.
“The explosion occurred due to gas leakage from a butane cylinder, which filled the room before igniting.
Meanwhile, the police have instructed the hotel management to strictly follow safety norms related to the use and storage of gas cylinders.
