With just over a week to go before Ireland open up their Six Nations campaign against France at the Stade de France, Bundee Aki has been dropped from the squad for disciplinary issues. Aki joins a long list of absentees for Andy Farrell’s side, which includes Andrew Porter, Robbie Henshaw and Mack Hansen, to name a few. The URC were first to put out a statement on the incident, confirming that they were citing Aki ‘in relation to a Misconduct Complaint made against him under the URC Disciplinary Rules. That’s why the IRFU have taken swift action to make it clear they don’t condone this behaviour and have dropped Aki entirely from the Six Nations squad.
