Whilst a number of the shopping units still sit empty and closed, it is understood only a small handful are still up to let. Meanwhile, ALB Properties, which owns a handful of units on Lister Gate, says all of these have been filled - a sign things are getting "better and better" for the struggling area. As of January 28, the former WHSmith building at 38 Lister Gate is under offer, with national coffee chain Costa expected to open in the unit by April. Trendy salad bar Tossed and high street favourite Superdry are among the most recent stores to open on Lister Gate and Albert Street, with Nottingham City Transport (NCT) also moving to the area later this year.
