Cape Verde boasts pleasant temperatures throughout the year, and, over the coming fortnight, daytime temperatures are expected to hit 24C, exceeding Tenerife's 20C. Tenerife was visited by about seven million holidaymakers over the same timeframe, making Cape Verde considerably quieter by comparison. Although February marks winter in Cape Verde, daytime temperatures regularly climb to 27C, accompanied by six to eight hours of sunshine and scant precipitation. Paul Bixby, chief commercial officer at EasyJet Holidays, previously said: "Cape Verde is a fantastic destination, providing year-round sunshine and white sandy beaches.
