Mr Quayson made the call while speaking at a ceremony in Accra on Tuesday to commemorate the 2026 International Holocaust Remembrance Day. He urged humanity to draw lasting lessons from the Holocaust to prevent future atrocities. The Deputy Minister reaffirmed Ghana’s solidarity with Israel and commended the German Embassy, the United Nations and the organisers of the event for sustaining Holocaust remembrance efforts in Ghana. He stressed that “never again” was not a slogan but a binding obligation that formed the foundation of international human rights and humanitarian law. The German Ambassador also expressed concern about the humanitarian situation in Gaza, insisting that international humanitarian law must apply to all parties without exception.
