The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency rolled out the second phase of its “Warm Winter” campaign for Al Quds on Wednesday, which is providing assistance to 120 families in 12 rural communities southeast of the city, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported. The operation focuses on reinforcing the roofs of rural homes in exposed, high-altitude areas vulnerable to harsh winter weather, and distributing blankets, mattresses, heaters, and winter clothing. Inaam Abu Zaiter, the acting director of public affairs at the Al Quds Governorate, commended the initiative, saying it provides much-needed household equipment to vulnerable communities and helps strengthen residents’ ability to remain on their land. The targeted communities include Al-Khaleel, Ali Muntar, and areas inhabited by al-Sawahra farmers and Jahalin Bedouin. Local representatives said the aid will ease the hardship faced by families during severe cold spells.
