Due to join the business on 1 May, he has been working for the last four years as chief financial officer of Europe & Indonesia at food retail group Ahold Delhaize. Prior to that, he held finance leadership positions at Hoogwegt Group, Reckitt Benckiser and Unilever. At On, he will succeed Martin Hoffmann, who assumed an expanded role as sole chief executive officer last year while retaining his responsibilities as chief financial officer. Hoffmann will continue to oversee the finance function until Sluis’ start date to ensure a smooth transition.
