To contribute to the debate today, I would like share some of my reflections on the role that capital markets play in these efforts. At its core, the package is about making Europe’s capital markets work less like 27 adjacent markets and more like a truly seamless ecosystem. While true integration will remain a multi-year process, the Markets Integration Package is not a project for the next decade.
