IOWA CITY, Iowa — Kam Woods put the USC basketball team on his back during a stirring second-half comeback, but it wasn’t quite enough. Stirtz was fouled by USC’s Jerry Easter II and made both free throws to put Iowa back ahead. Woods, who scored a career-high 33 points, missed a 3-point attempt as time expired. Woods scored 19 straight points for USC before Cofie made the go-ahead layup. Tavion Banks also had 20 points for Iowa before fouling out with just over three minutes to play.
