The Town of Farmville is moving forward with a company to design and construct the Farmville Fire Station expansion. During a Wednesday, Jan. 21 special meeting, the Farmville Town Council approved the comprehensive agreement with the English Construction Co. on the expansion of the Farmville Fire Station. “Fewer vehicles on the road also provide a safer environment for road crews and first responders, including tow drivers, to do their jobs,” said Morgan Dean, AAA Mid-Atlantic spokesperson in Virginia. The company reported Monday that more than 85% of the 48,000 customers who lost service have had electric service restored. “We will continue working around the clock to restore everyone’s power as safely and quickly as possible,” Dominion officials stated in the update.
