A 20-year-old man was killed after being hit by a train in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat this morning. The deceased was identified as Munna Islam, son of cloth trader Khokon Mia of the Station Road area in Patgram municipality. The accident occurred near the rail gate adjacent to Patgram Railway Station around 7:00am, said Nazmul Hasan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Patgram Police Station. OC Nazmul Hasan said the Railway Government Police (GRP) station had been informed. The body was sent to Patgram Upazila Health Complex for an autopsy and will be handed over to the family following completion of legal procedures.
