The Association of Indo Americans (AIA) marked the 77th Republic Day of India on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the India Community Center in Milpitas, California. The event was attended by more than 1,500 community members and over 15 elected officials, along with representatives from cultural and community organizations, to observe India’s constitutional framework, democratic values, and cultural heritage. These took place both before and after the formal Republic Day ceremony and showcased community participation. Representatives from AIA’s supporting organizations were invited to share Republic Day greetings before the formal program, reflecting collaboration among Indian American organizations in the region. Speakers referenced India’s democratic system and noted that Republic Day provides an occasion to reflect on civic rights and responsibilities.
