Dr. Mahamudu BawumiaExecutive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, has reiterated his firm belief that former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is the frontrunner in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries. In its final pre-election poll published on January 23, 2026, the research firm projected Dr Bawumia to win the contest with 57 per cent of the total votes. Bosomtwe MP Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum secured two per cent, with former NPP General Secretary Ing Kwabena Agyepong polling zero per cent. The findings, according to Global InfoAnalytics, reflect voting intentions after accounting for undecided respondents and other influencing factors within the party’s electoral college. The NPP is set to hold its presidential primaries on Saturday, January 31, with Dr Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong, Dr Bryan Acheampong, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum and Ing Kwabena Agyepong competing for the party’s flagbearer slot.
