UH volleyball team hits the floor after weather-delayed travel
['Billy Hull']
Honolulu Star-Advertiser
The third-ranked Hawaii men’s volleyball team was welcomed a day late to Pennsylvania by a severe weather warning with temperatures expected as low as zero degrees.
UH’s original flight out of Honolulu on Sunday night was canceled, forcing the Rainbow Warriors to instead leave Monday for Chicago, according to a UH official.
UH spent the night in Chicago before finally making it out midday Tuesday for Pennsylvania, landing just over 24 hours before today’s match.
Penn State, which has played in the Outrigger Invitational 23 times, has hosted the Rainbow Warriors only once on campus.
