American Express has announced some major changes to The American Express Business Platinum Card and The American Express Business Gold Card. American Express Business cards previously had one advantage over cards such as Capital on Tap – they accepted sole traders. Sole traders and unlimited liability partnerships can no longer apply for Business Platinum or Business Gold. There is only one American Express SME card remaining which accepts sole traders – the British Airways American Express Accelerating Business card.
