AN MP is battling for a Bournemouth airport bus after winning nearly £8 million of funding to improve bus services. Tom Hayes, for Bournemouth East, has been campaigning for better, faster and cheaper buses in the area. Mr Hayes has secured BCP Council £7,863,381 from the government as part of its £3 billion investment to rebuild England’s bus networks. In October, the Bus Services Act 2025 came into being, giving councils new powers to run and protect essential services. Mr Hayes said: “I speak often about buses in parliament because they’re vital to people’s daily lives.
