A slanted first half of basketball, coupled with more heroics from Kenyon Portee, Ethan Hammer and more, highlighted Bishop McDevitt’s latest boys basketball win. Portee popped in a team-high 23 points as the Crusaders gathered am 86-63 Capital Division triumph over Big Spring Wednesday. Landon Sallie’s 29 points – 25 coming in the second half – including five triples. Big Spring (10-7, 5-7) teammate Joven Strine also banked in 25 in the loss. The Crusaders got addition support from Patrick Denisco, who added 15 points, and Dom Baker, who netted 10 for the division co-leaders.
