Big Spring emerged from Wednesday’s session opposite Bishop McDevitt with its fourth consecutive win, thanks in large part to Kade Burns, versatile Maria Tandle and more. Burns, who paced the Bulldogs with 11 points, helped her team secure a 51-33 victory. Helping the cause was Tandle, who pitched in 10 points, and Braelyn Lebo, who connected on a trio of 3-pointers in the final quarter to seal McD’s fate. Big Spring (13-5, 8-4) extended its 28-15 halftime edge, despite nine points from McD’s Meredith Backhaus and eight from guard Leilah Horshaw. The Crusaders fell to 7-11 overall, 6-6 in Capital division play.
