After three consecutive days of closure, the University of Kentucky will be open and fully operational Thursday, Jan. 29. According to a campus-wide email, UK’s facilities teams, grounds and maintenance crews and UK Police have worked throughout the closure to clear campus roads, sidewalks, parking lots and building entrances. ”Their dedication ensures we can continue our critical missions of education, research, service and patient care safely,” the email said. According to UKNow, the last time UK closed for more than one day in a row was in 2015, also due to a winter storm. Students who need assistance with cold-weather gear can be connected to resources by filling out an online form, and those who notice uncleared or slippery walkways can email [email protected].
