When a snowstorm becomes the apocalypse

Think back to Sunday, Jan. 26, when you got the notification that UK has cancelled classes for tomorrow.
It doesn’t matter that the shelves are lacking milk, bread and noodles because the whole world is on pause.
After braving the freezing temperatures and barely missing some slips, you can bet I’d been craving an easy-going week.
I wear as many layers as I can to prevent my limbs from becoming freeze pops, but this weather emergency felt more like a warning.
In the meantime, I’ll be enjoying what I hope isn’t the last day of a polar journey, that I didn’t imagine stretching this far.
