How do you think, God?
['Trần Đình Hoành']

God,I can’t fathom all the ways You think‘Cause You are God and I am me.What bothers me isPeople talk about Your wordsIn greedy, hating, ignorant ways they think; They turn Your teaching upside downUsing Your teaching as their instrument ofDivision, opression, war, and deathCenturies after centuries.
My God,I know You punish us not for our ignoranceBut you probably are not so happyWhen we don’t even try to studyYour words seriously toUnderstand You just a little more.
When You says, “Love everyone,” I imagine You means “everyone.”When you says, “Love your enemy,” I imagine You means “all enemies.”Well, people add “if, but, yet, however…” into Your wordsAnd convieniently turn Your words into their ignorant ideas.
Peope are not stupidThey are just too clever for their own good.
I imagine fixing God’s words to fit our lowly purposesIs a sin.
