Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested five suspected kidnappers and rescued a victim following a gun duel. The command’s spokesperson, SP Eno Ikoedem, said the suspects were apprehended by operatives attached to the Ewu Division, in collaboration with local vigilantes and hunters. SPONSOR ADShe said the suspects engaged the security team in a gun battle but were eventually dislodged from their hideout in Igun Forest, Agbede. This, she added, led to the arrest of the suspects and the rescue of the victim unhurt. The spokesperson assured that the case is currently under investigation and that the suspects will be charged to court upon its conclusion.
