A joint operation by the Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has led to the seizure of a large consignment of illicit drugs concealed in an imported vehicle at the Lagos Port. The operation was carried out on Tuesday following intelligence reports regarding the shipment of drugs into the country. Sulaiman stated that the drugs were hidden inside one of four vehicles contained in a single import consignment. Reacting to the bust, Comptroller Oshoba warned criminal elements against using the port for trafficking. “Any attempt to traffic prohibited items through Apapa Port will be detected and thwarted.
