The Yobe State Police Command has arrested 35-year-old Aliyu Yarima for allegedly drugging and raping a 16-year-old girl. The disclosure was made by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abdulkarim Dungus, in a statement issued to journalists in Damaturu. SPONSOR AD“Police operatives of the Tarmuwa Divisional Police Headquarters arrested Aliyu Yarima, a resident of Potiskum Local Government Area, following a distress report,” Dungus said. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect allegedly lured the victim, a resident of Babbangida town, and gave her a soft drink mixed with suspected illicit drugs, which rendered her unconscious. The suspect then conveyed the victim in his vehicle to his residence in Babbangida, where the assault took place.
