Morocco’s political parties returned MAD 36 million of unused or unjustified public funding to the Kingdom’s coffers, according to the Court of Auditors’ annual report for 2025.
The report indicated that 24 parties had repaid their public funds for fiscal year 2023 as of November 15, 2025, while 14 parties still owed MAD 21.85 million.
The court called on Morocco’s Ministry of the Interior to ensure that the delinquent parties settle their obligations and to continue to encourage political actors to comply with funding rules.
Meanwhile, under the mandatory asset declaration system, 8,116 public officials were required to submit initial or final declarations.
The courts received 104,868 declarations, with public employees accounting for 92% of submissions from January 1, 2024, to October 31, 2025.
