$7.6 billion budgeted for Mabura Hill to Kurupukari road project(Kaieteur News) – Continuing from the Linden to Mabura Hill road project, the government intends to further stretch the road works this year, by commencing works between Mabura Hill and Kurupukari. He said this year the Mabura Hill to Kurupukari Road will commence, for which some $7.6 billion has been budgeted. Another $10.4 billion has been set aside to complete the Linden to Mabura Hill Road. The Linden to Mabura Hill Road which will be completed shortly, is just the first phase that will ultimately lead to the completion of the Linden to Lethem Road link that will then complete an overland link to Brazil. Upon completion, the road project will provide major support to ease travel, trade and general connectivity between Guyana and Brazil and open vast opportunities by linking Guyana’s hinterland communities to Georgetown.
