Ifill appeared before Magistrate Faith McGusty, who read the charge to him. After receiving the item without paying, Ifill allegedly attempted to flee on his motorcycle. The prosecutor further stated that while the accused was attempting to escape, the gaming console fell to the ground. As a result, Magistrate McGusty refused bail, citing concerns for public safety.
