Man on $700K bail for causing death of DDL Chemist(Kaieteur News) – A 28-year-old labourer was on Wednesday granted $700,000 bail after he was charged with causing death by dangerous driving, when he appeared at the Diamond Magistrates’ Court. Following the incident, Sargeant was arrested and subsequently charged with causing death by dangerous driving. He was not required to plead and was granted bail in the sum of $700,000. While attempting to overtake the minibus, Sargeant collided with its right rear. A 31-year-old man of Diamond New Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, who was a passenger in the minibus, sustained multiple injuries.
