Burnt body of tourist guide found in vehicle(Kaieteur News) – Family, friends and colleagues of popular Rupununi tourist guide and vaquero, Leon Baird also known as ‘Rasta’ are currently seeking justice after he was found dead in a vehicle between Wichabai Ranch and Sand Creek Village, Region Nine. Baird, who is well known to many in the Rupununi region, leaves to mourn his father, other relatives and friends. Baird was an exceptional tour guide attached to Wichabai Ranch and was known for his extensive knowledge and commitment to showcasing Guyana’s absolute beauty. We mourn the loss of a man who played a meaningful role in enhancing the visitor experience within the Rupununi region. At the time of his passing, he was working as a tour guide at Wichabai Ranch, where he was admired for his knowledge, professionalism, and passion for guiding.
