EDINBURGH has topped a new list ranking the best UK cities for public transport, beating London and Glasgow. The list by the Telegraph saw 12 UK cities ranked on their public transport capabilities, analysing the types and varieties of transport models in each city. The article said: “In 2015, the Border Railways line between Edinburgh and Tweedbank opened, the first new domestic passenger service in a century. “The Central Belt is pretty well served in most areas, and Edinburgh has decent connections to its main exurbs. “There are regular buses to attractions like the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh Zoo and Portobello Beach.”Edinburgh Trams were praised as an integral part of the city’s public transport network.
