America hates men’s soccer, so why ask A&M to fund it?

But that’s where the modern American’s exposure to soccer ends. The fact of the matter is this: The concept of professional and collegiate soccer is simply unrelatable to the modern American college student. That’s right, Tom Brady is almost seven inches taller than Lionel Messi and bench presses one and a half Messis for reps. The best part is that the average American agrees. So when faced with an unnecessary, unpopular and uneconomical sport, I ask you: Why devote time, attention and money to something that would be of little interest to the average A&M student when the 2026 College Football Playoff is on the line?
