The University of Michigan’s Central Student Government met in the Wolverine Room of the Michigan Union Tuesday evening to discuss concerns about representative safety, session recording permissions and possible tensions within CSG.
The meeting began with the swearing-in of Information junior Claire Turner as School of Information representative.
During community concerns, Rackham student Devin Woodruff, assembly speaker, read an anonymous statement concerning the death of Engineering sophomore Lucas Mattson.
“It is no surprise nor secret that the University has long-standing financial ties to Greek Life,” the statement read.
Towards the end of the meeting, Rackham student Angelica Previero expressed concerns regarding the culture of CSG and personal matters that have arisen between members.
