It was right before a city council meeting where councilors debated whether to put an advisory question on the Town Meeting Day ballot that would establish Burlington as a so-called ‘apartheid-free community." He’s an advocate for ‘an apartheid free community’ in Burlington, and the person who was shooting the video of the altercation. The advisory question has been proposed for Burlington’s Town Meeting Day ballot for the past three years. The apartheid-free community resolution was voted down and will not go on the Town Meeting Day ballot.
