BROOKINGS — South Dakota State's women picked up their third straight win since the end of their 67-game Summit League winning streak, cruising past Omaha 85-41 on Wednesday night at First Bank & Trust Arena. It was not a game that was expected to require the Jackrabbits' best, as Omaha entered the game with a 2-20 record that includes zero road wins and zero wins over a Division I opponent. Brooklyn Meyer had 18 points, 11 rebounds and three assists for SDSU (17-5, 7-1), going 7-of-7 from the floor. Freshman post Brooklyn Felchle had a season-high 12 points, Katie Vasecka had nine points, four rebounds and three assists, Ellie Colbeck had seven points, Mahli Abdouch nine points and six assists and Hilary Behrens five points and seven rebounds. SDSU outshot Omaha 54 percent to 26 and hit a dozen 3s on the night (in 29 attempts).
