In their last game before taking a break for the Olympics, the Minnesota Frost wrapped up the first portion of their season on a high note with a 4-1 victory over the Vancouver Goldeneyes on Wednesday, Jan. 28, in St. Paul. ADVERTISEMENTVancouver's Hannah Miller was called for holding with 47 seconds remaining in the first period to give the Frost its first power-play opportunity of the night. Minnesota didn't want to take the one-man advantage into the second period however, as Kelly Pannek buried a goal with just one second remaining in the period. The Goldeneyes put their first goal on the board in the second period, as Michelle Karvinen scored 12:35 into the period, to make it a 3-1 game. The Frost have a month break for the Olympics, returning in action on March 1 with a trip to Montreal.
