(Bloomberg) — Lobbying groups and executives representing the banking and crypto industries are planning to meet at the White House on Monday as tempers flare over a contentious piece of digital-asset legislation. A representative for Coinbase will be at the White House meeting, one of the people said. Coinbase and the White House didn’t immediately return requests for comment. Reuters first reported on the planned White House meeting. Coinbase, the US’s biggest crypto exchange, pulled its support from the Senate Banking Committee’s draft of the bill in mid-January.
