As reported previously, St Augustin’s Church at Cemetery Junction, could face closure as proposals are in place to close the Grade II listed church, which has served the community for more than 130 years. The church, part of the Bournemouth Town Centre Parish alongside St Peter’s and St Stephen’s, is under the Diocese of Winchester. The Parochial Church council (PCC) of Bournemouth Town Centre Parish (BTCP) have now voted to explore the closure of the building. A spokesperson for Bournemouth Town Centre Parish said: “The PCC has voted to explore the closure of the building and possible re-use. "Cemetery Junction is served by practically every bus route in Bournemouth.
