Alex Jeffrey Pretti, 37, was an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs hospital before he was shot and killed by federal agents Saturday morning on Nicollet Avenue. Pretti’s family members have since denounced the Trump administration in public statements. CNN reported that a group of federal agents tackled Pretti a week before he was killed, breaking a rib. He later went to nursing school and became an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. He enjoyed mountain biking and gravel biking, a representative of Pretti’s family said.
